Crayton Commercial has built its niche by developing quality shopping centers in the retail heart of a given city or town.  Many times this retail heart is in a "shadow" position to a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Target, enclosed mall or other major anchor.  More recently, Crayton Commercial has become very active in retail re-development. Crayton actively acquires and re-develops older, large and often times vacant grocery and discount anchored shopping centers and is able to revive and re-lease them to prominent discount-oriented national retailers.  Crayton Commercial also offers third party management, leasing, construction management and development services.

Crayton Commercial has built a strong relationship with key national retailers, and many are often repeat tenants in Crayton's shopping centers.  These core retailers include Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, SHOE SHOW, SHOE DEPT., Hibbett Sporting Goods, Cato Fashions, Rue21 Fashions, Maurice's Fashions, It's Fashion Metro, Citi Trends Fashions, Save-A-Lot Food Stores, Variety Wholesalers, Rose's Discount Stores, Peeble's Department Stores, Goody's, Rent-A-Center, GameStop, Sally Beauty Supply, GNC, Radio Shack, Great Clips, US Cellular, Quizno's, Subway, Jackson Hewitt, Marine Federal Credit Union, and many others.  Crayton Commercial understands and takes very seriously the phrase "a reputation takes years to obtain, but seconds to lose."  We look forward to continuing to build these excellent relationships with the hope of developing hundreds of shopping centers in the years ahead.

As a Troop 13 Eagle Scout, Walt Crayton strives every day to always do the right thing and treat everyone equally and with the highest degree of respect.  Walt is a 2000 graduate of New Bern High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he majored in business administration at the Kenan-Flagler Business School.  He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Centenary Methodist Church and its Administrative Board, and the Troop 13 75th Anniversary Committee.  Walt holds active real estate brokers' licenses in both North and South Carolina.  He is also a proud supporter of the New Bern High School Bears and the University of North Carolina Tar Heels!
